Velvet Gunn [formerly known as V11VT] is an Artist, Author, and the visionary behind AGSP WRKS — an art and wellness project offering creative production through community theater, events, membership and outreach experiences.
Velvet's belief has always been rooted in the therapeutic relief and powers of creative expression. Over time, she has developed her practice to integrate art, wellness, and spirituality, using peculiar, thought-provoking experiences and works to challenge perspectives and explore themes not often addressed.
Holding a BA in Vocal Performance & Education, Velvet recently certified as a Trauma-Informed Coach , Therapeutic Expressive Art Facilitator and Registered Behavior Therapist. Integrating over a decade of experience across Arts Education, Hospitality, and Entertainment, her concepts and works seeks invite curiosity, calm the nervous system, and expand self-awareness.
Velvet has collaborated with organizations such as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Opportunities for All (OFA), Friends for All, and Chicago Public Schools—sharing insights on creativity as a tool for connection and healing. Through experimental art, sensory-based programming, and neuroscience-informed approaches, she invites communities to reimagine how we engage with ourselves and each other.
In Velvet's most recent works “11” and Everything To Do When You Have Nothing, she offers spiritual and practical guidance for navigating the unknown as a human and creative being. Through music writing and community curation - Velvet hopes to continue spreading awareness of the healing powers of art , experiences and community.
