Velvet Gunn [formerly known as V11VT] is an Artist, Author, and the visionary behind AGSP WRKS — an art and wellness project offering creative production through community theater, events, membership and outreach experiences.
Velvet's belief has always been rooted in the therapeutic relief and powers of creative expression. Over time, she has developed her practice to integrate focuses of wellness, and spirituality - using peculiar and thought-provoking experiences to challenge perspectives and explore themes not often addressed.
Holding a BA in Vocal Performance & Education, Velvet recently certified as a Trauma-Informed Coach and Registered Behavior Therapist. Integrating over a decade of experience across Arts Education, Hospitality, and Entertainment, her concepts and works seek to invite curiosity, calm the nervous system, and expand perspectives about the human experience.
Velvet has collaborated with organizations such as the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Opportunities for All, Friends for All, and Chicago Public Schools—sharing insights on creativity as a tool for connection and healing. Through experential art, sensory-based programming, and neuroscience-informed approaches, she invites communities to reimagine how we engage with ourselves and each other.
In Velvet's most recent works Peekin' , “11” and Everything To Do When You Have Nothing, she touches on themes of mental health, survival and spiritual guidance for navigating the unknown as a human and creative being. Through writing, theater and community curation - Velvet is dedicated to spreading awareness of the healing powers of art and connection to challenge minds and change hearts.
